A place of experimentation and innovation, ARTV is an interactive television that transmits its programmes over the Web.

ARTV aims to create an overview of contemporary creation by opening up its channels to different artistic disciplines : - visual art, dance, music, theatre, video, painting, architecture, literature…

ARTV offers the possibility to transmit the works in a different way, leaving the form and the content/message to the artist ; opening the transmission networks to individuals and to places that do not always have the means to reach a wider public.

We desire to integrate the tool's technical constraints not as a limitation but as a possibility for the artists to experiment and to innovate.

Another way of participating

We wish to build new paths between the spectator and the creator, shake the norms of sharing and writing, using these new channels intelligently without reducing them to simple technological schemes. Television in its classic form imposes rules of temporality which go as far as controlling the greater part of citizens' lives; one needs to have the time to rest ones regard. This immense space which is the Internet offers us the infinite richness of a time which is that of each of us.

Another way of working

The networking tool becomes the way of thinking of this channel : its content will be enriched thanks to the creation of a network if French, European and World-wide partners. A network of correspondents will allow us to elaborate a content that is large and multiple. - Our programming is multi-disciplinary and transcends all borders. Our goal, reveal the diversity of practices and thoughts while affirming the identity of each creation and of each culture.
